On the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections, Hema Malini expressed confidence in the BJP-led NDA of getting over 400 seats in the polls

Actor-turned-politician Hema Malini on Monday joined Holi celebrations in Uttar Pradesh’s Vrindavan and uniquely wished the people of the country by singing a popular movie from her movie Sholay.

In a video, which is now going viral on social media, Hema Malini who is a member of parliament from Mathura, can be seen singing ‘Holi Ke Din’, a popular song from her super hit movie Sholay.

On Saturday, the BJP leader joined the Holi festivities in her constituency and played Holi with flowers.

The leader also engaged in Raas performance and enthralled the audience by singing the famous song from the movie ‘Sholay,’ “Holi ke din dil khil jaate hain, rangon mein rang mil jaate hain.”

On the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections, Hema Malini expressed confidence in the BJP-led NDA of getting over 400 seats in the polls, saying that the target set by Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be fulfilled as the people are with the ruling alliance at the Centre.

Meanwhile, Mathura was drenched in hues of the rainbow on Monday as people celebrated Holi, the festival colours. Brij Bhoomi, especially Vrindavan and Govardhan, also witnessed an explosion of colours.

“The path of Govardhan parikrama is virtually covered in rainbow colours as thousands of pilgrims are performing the parikrama and throwing gulal on each other,” Pawan Kaushik, the priest of Daanghati temple in Govardhan told PTI.

In Anyor village on Parikrama Road, Holi was celebrated with much fanfare. Daubed in colour, children were seen playing Holi with pilgrims. The pilgrims also danced to the beats of Holi songs.

Pilgrims visiting the ISKCON temple also joined the celebrations in Vrindavan. In parts of Mathura, women hit men with sticks as part of Lathmar Holi.
